Helios Sector: Set within humanity's expanding colonial sphere in the smaller region of the Milky Way in the Orion Arm, encompassing our original Sol system and approximately fifty colonized star systems. Connected by a network of jumpgates, these colonies represent humanity's first major expansion beyond Earth and the Solar System, with no faster-than-light travel available beyond these crucial gate networks that were set up the old fashion way.


The Ideological Fracture: Following humanity's discovery of initial alien species and the revolutionary genetic transformation technology, two irreconcilable worldviews emerged. Years of growing tensions between domination-hierarchy minded factions and collaboration-freedom oriented groups have reached a breaking point. The introduction of genetic enhancement that could fundamentally alter humanity itself became the final catalyst for war.


Total War Declaration: Tensions have boiled over to the point of existential warfare where only one side will survive.
